Responsibilities:
Review, process, and coordinate all incoming medical services requests
Data entry of pertinent medical information into the Smart UR system
Correspond with appropriate parties and update claims system for each request
Process and track unauthorized requests
Maintain required logs for state reporting and to comply with all audit requirements
Work with specialty medical cost containment programs, such as Radnet, ExpressScripts, Integrated HealthCare, and others on an as needed basis
Complete ad hoc projects assigned by management, as necessary
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 - 4 years administrative experience, medical terminology a plus

Review incoming bind submissions for new business processed through the CompWeb online rating portal.
Validate the bound submissions for adherence to program eligibility guidelines and proper classification.
Manage new business submission levels for achieving production goals.
Validate accuracy of submission data through customer “welcome” calls.
Observe and identify trends in the performance of the book of business. Present observations and suggestions to management based on observed trends. Suggestions to include changes to the pricing template or revisions to the underwriting questions.
Maintain strong relationships with partner brokers adhering to marketing plans and strategies with each partner broker.
Participate in partner broker reviews by evaluating results, relationships, creating recommendations for growth strategies and taking advantage of new opportunities.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 4 - 7 plus years experience in insurance
2 years experience working as an Underwriter
College degree, CPCU desirable
Strong analytical skills and good business judgment
Good interpersonal effectiveness
Effective negotiation, sales and influence management skills
Ability to plan, organize and complete work within established time frames
Ability to travel to assigned brokers in the Western States territory as required
