Responsibilities:
Educate and assist employers on the availability of Return to Work Opportunities within their organization
Prepare and give RTW presentations on WC issues to brokers, employers, and industry groups in conjunction with other departments
Assist the Claims department in obtaining job descriptions of U&C positions at time of injury
Build a library of job descriptions across all of our employers and industries to assist in RTW efforts for new injuries
Implement and facilitate the earliest possible return of injured workers to the workplace to perform meaningful, productive work within their physical capabilities
Formulate methods to track and report all RTW data for presentation to management and to policy holders, including documented cost savings
Build workflows and processes with Claims to facilitate timely responses to mandated RTW notices and activities
Evaluate data to determine venues where returning IW to work has a direct impact on the cost of the award or settlement. Work with claims to develop strategies to address these jurisdictional specific issues
Represent the interests of CompWest at WCAB hearings concerning issues involving RTW efforts
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in Workers Comp Return To Work issues
Demonstrates ability to compile, interpret and evaluate statistical and RTW data
Experience in presentations and communications
Excellent follow-up skills
Ability to work well with others, maintaining effective inter-department relationships
Excellent computer skills in Word, Excel, and Outlook
Strong knowledge of Federal and State Regulations governing WC
College degree or equivalent work experience in this field

Supports HR Officer in all aspects of HR including employee relations, employee health and benefits, hiring and termination, company personnel policies and procedures

Requirements:
2 - 4 years experience in field
PHR or SPHR Certification preferred
Bachelor's degree in a related field
Working knowledge of all employment state and federal regulations (e.g. COBRA, Fair Labor Standards Act, Equal Employment regulations, OSHA, Workers’ Compensation, American with Disabilities Act, FMLA, HIPAA, etc)

The position of Claims Administrative Assistant assists the Claims Department with overall general administration duties. This position reports to the Claims Clerical Supervisor.
Typical duties at this level include:
Scan and track incoming business documents
Distribute scanned documents to claims staff in a timely manner
Create new claim files
File documents
Use Microsoft applications and data management systems
Communicate with outside vendors
Complete subpoena requests
Process error items
Process bill payments
Backup to reception as needed
Ad hoc assignments as necessary
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 - 4 years administrative experience
